Encaustic Photographs, Fine Art Prints, & Custom Artwork
Looking for a little artwork to give as a gift or to brighten up your home or office? Check out these collections of photographs from my travels and everyday life to see if something catches your eye: http://internationalstudio.smugmug.com/
Can’t find exactly what you’re looking for there? Have something special (a gift perhaps?) and/or an idea in mind (something cool for the house?)? Need an artist to bring it to life? I do custom photography and artwork!
My specialty is encaustic photographs (layers of wax brushed over the photographs) that look, smell, and feel amazing. Check out some examples here.
How to get started?
Let me know what you’re thinking/looking for (no matter how general) and we’ll go from there!

A few examples of custom artwork I’ve done:
Custom Photography & Encaustic: A client found a couple amazing old wooden elementary school windows and wanted to fill the panes with photographs as a gift to his wife for their 5-year wedding anniversary. His wife was a biology teacher and avid diver. I mixed photographs of Kauai, a biology wonderland, with shots taken up at the Edmond’s ferry dock, her fav dive spot, at sunset in the panes. Then, I brushed hot wax over the photographs (encaustic) to give them texture and make the colors jump out of the frames. Click here to check out the final product!
Custom Photography: As a surprise for her husband, a client (who now lives in WA DC) wanted a photograph of Seattle’s skyline (city and/or mountains). I shot these and coordinated professional printing/mounting.
Custom Encaustic: A client had four awesome photographs he had taken up in the mountains to hang in his home. When he saw an encaustic piece I had made for his nephew, he knew that would be the perfect finish for his photos. I enlarged the photos to 16×20, applied them to a wood panel, and brushed wax over them to give them texture and pull the colors out. See the final product here.
